Elena Filatova's Chernobyl

It's two years since I last visited Elena Filatova (aka KiddOfSpeed)'s Chernobyl website. For anybody who doesn't know who she is - Filatova gained notoriety for her high-speed motorcycle trips into the Chernobyl deadzone, and the ghostly photographs she'd then post to her website. I didn't realise that, since, she'd gained further notoriety after some people doubted the veracity of her motorbike story. Now's certainly a good time to return to the site... in the last few weeks it's gained some fascinating, moving and very troubling films, including "Ghost Town", which features normal life in Pripyat, the day after the explosion, and just hours before the evacuation. I'm quite iterested of the Tšernobyl and I'm planned to do some research about it.
Now I'm doing just some background research, but some I'll go there.

I've read almost everything from Elena's finnish and english webpages. Quite spectacular!

I hope this helps, though it's been awhile since the request was posted.

I think Elena's work is extraordinary, especially in light of all the far flung negative criticism she has received over the years. Even IF all that her detractors say of her is true, (and I find that doubtful at best) the story she presents of one of the greatest and least documented human disasters in history is a service to us all.
